Founded in 2010 as a labor-only company, Preferred Flooring began with a 50-50 partnership between Daniel and Jose Gonzalez. Initially, they hired workers on a 1099 basis, but a few years later, they transitioned to a W2 employee model, gradually adding retirement and healthcare benefits. They understand the physical demands of the flooring trade and treat their installers with compassion and respect. By 2018-2019, the company faced a pivotal moment in its growth. They increased their involvement in the flooring industry, obtaining numerous certifications and becoming certifiers themselves.
