Together, they expanded into residential outdoor lighting, while the custom division continued to influence new product lines with fresh design concepts and architectural integrity. ​ By 1982, ELA had relocated to City of Industry, California, and developed a network of high-end lighting showrooms nationwide. This move positioned the company for rapid growth and greater market reach. ​ To meet rising demand for aluminum castings, ELA established its own foundry, Fundidora Cal, in Tijuana, Mexico, in 1990.
