KLAUS Multiparking America Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of KLAUS Multiparking GmbH and a nationwide turnkey provider of German-engineered mechanical and automated parking systems: vehicle lifts, car stackers, parking lifts, puzzle parking systems, parking pallets, turntables, and fully automatic parking systems. We work directly with general contractors, construction managers, developers, architects, engineers, and parking consultants from preconstruction through all phases of the project. Our team provides complimentary plan reviews, system recommendations, preliminary layouts, technical coordination, and turnkey budget pricing to help project teams evaluate parking solutions early and establish project scope and cost. KLAUS provides complete project support including design coordination, shop drawings, equipment supply, installation, commissioning, training, maintenance, service, and long-term technical support. Our systems are designed for self-park and valet-operated applications and can help projects increase parking capacity within a smaller footprint, reduce space dedicated to conventional parking, and create greater design flexibility. We support projects nationwide across multifamily residential, mixed-use, hospitality, resorts, senior living, student housing, automotive, commercial, and other developments. Backed by more than 60 years of parking-system engineering experience from our German OEM, KLAUS Multiparking America provides a single-source resource for specialized parking equipment from early preconstruction through long-term service. Brief History of Consumers Lumber During the 1930s, we operated yards in Spirit Lake, Montgomery and Superior and supervised them from Mason City. At that time, Ben A. Webster of Mason City was president. Charles F. Lindquist of the Spirit Lake yard was vice-president and Burt Whirry ran the Montgomery yard and Harry Ruckman the Superior yard. In 1945, eventual president Fred A. Weber joined the company. The D.L. Aitchison Lumber Yard in Arnolds Park was purchased in 1949. In 1950 Robert E. Bergquist joined the company. The Montgomery yard was closed in 1955, and the Arnolds Park yard was closed in 1971 leaving only the Spirit Lake location. A home panelizing and truss company (Citation Homes) was started in 1966 headed up by senior vice president Bergquist. Mike Stineman joined the company in 1977 and was elected President in 1981 with the retirement of Fred Weber. In June of 1986, after going through the tough economic times of the early ’80s, Consumers Lumber was separated from Citation Homes and sold to two Spencer businessmen, Gene Luken and Bill Sanders. Luken bought out Sanders in 1991 and sold to long time employees Jim Johnson and Rod Lange in June of 2002. At that same time Spencer Lumber in Spencer Iowa was purchased. Johnson purchased Lange’s shares in the spring of 2008, making him the sole owner. At that same time Johnson changed the name of Spencer Lumber to Consumers Lumber Company as they continue to operate as today. Johnson operated the company until April of 2016. At that time the company was once again sold to long time employees Jamie Storey and Jason Lorenzen. Storey and Lorenzen continue to operate Consumers Lumber today. Along with a well experienced staff, we operate under the same values and standards focusing on integrity, passion for excellence, and teamwork that has always made Consumers Lumber stand above the rest.
