Morrison Engineers was founded in January of 1988 by Tom Morrison as and engineering firm specializing in Structural Engineering. Over the subsequent years, Tom’s attention to detail and deliberate focus on how a design comes to life in the field, led the Company to begin providing Construction Engineering and consulting services. This same mindset eventually bred the Construction Division of Morrison Engineers, and in 2007 the Company became a General Contractor licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia providing specialty design build construction services focusing on excavation support systems, deep foundations and foundation underpinning. Today, the firm benefits from a healthy blend of structural and construction engineering projects, in addition to a unique array of construction projects. The firm currently includes 3 Professional Engineers, licensed in over twenty states, and is an Unlimited-Unclassified General Contractor in North Carolina as well as holding Licenses in South Carolina and Virginia. At Morrison Engineers it is always our ultimate goal and desire to establish personal and lasting relationships with our clients by providing creative and economical designs while emphasizing service and quality. STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING: Our structural engineering project history includes design of office buildings, schools, mixed use buildings, pedestrian bridges, parking decks, and retrofit construction of historical and aged industrial buildings. These designs encompass multi-story steel frame structures, post-tensioned concrete, cast-in-place reinforced concrete, light framed wood and cold formed metal stud construction, and load bearing masonry, among others. CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING & CONSULTING: Our construction engineering and consulting services include providing design support for key specialty components of a typically broader project. These designs help ensure that a contractor successfully completes that component of the job in a safe and economical manner. Our construction engineering project history includes designing large diameter trenchless utility crossings, bridge work trestles and crane work platforms, scaffolding and reshoring, formwork and falsework, excavation support, and deep foundations, to name a few. Craftsman Concrete Floors is a national commercial and industrial flooring contractor specializing in high-spec systems: ESD/static-control flooring, urethane cement (cementitious urethane), institutional terrazzo, industrial polished concrete, and concrete overlays. Founded in 1999, Craftsman is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. National service coverage • Installation performed by Craftsman-employed W-2 crews. Dallas is the company’s corporate headquarters, not the origin point for every national crew deployment. Crews, field leadership, and equipment are assigned companywide based on system experience, schedule, geography, and customer continuity. The direct-workforce model — not brokered or 1099 labor — lets us hold one standard of workmanship, scheduling, and on-site conduct across both single-site and multi-site programs. We work where the floor is part of the building's performance, not just its finish: semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, aerospace and defense, data centers, pharmaceutical and cGMP facilities, food and beverage processing, breweries and cold storage, warehousing and logistics, and institutional/public projects. Our scope includes surface prep and moisture testing/mitigation, ANSI/ESD S20.20 conductive and dissipative systems with S7.1/STM7.1 (Rg/Rtt) resistance testing and documentation, USDA/FSIS-aligned compliance, phased installation in active and occupied facilities, and full closeout documentation. We are experienced working in restricted, security-controlled, no-photography environments. Craftsman is licensed, insured, and bonded, with COI/W-9 and a capabilities statement available on request. We maintain OSHA-compliant, dust-controlled HEPA prep and silica-control practices on every site. On specialty projects we specify a qualified secondary system alongside the primary — continuity by design — to protect value-engineering options and supply-chain continuity for procurement and risk teams. Request our capabilities package, bid documents, or vendor paperwork to add Craftsman to your qualified bidder list.
