Morrison Engineers was founded in January of 1988 by Tom Morrison as and engineering firm specializing in Structural Engineering. Over the subsequent years, Tom’s attention to detail and deliberate focus on how a design comes to life in the field, led the Company to begin providing Construction Engineering and consulting services. This same mindset eventually bred the Construction Division of Morrison Engineers, and in 2007 the Company became a General Contractor licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia providing specialty design build construction services focusing on excavation support systems, deep foundations and foundation underpinning. Today, the firm benefits from a healthy blend of structural and construction engineering projects, in addition to a unique array of construction projects. The firm currently includes 3 Professional Engineers, licensed in over twenty states, and is an Unlimited-Unclassified General Contractor in North Carolina as well as holding Licenses in South Carolina and Virginia. At Morrison Engineers it is always our ultimate goal and desire to establish personal and lasting relationships with our clients by providing creative and economical designs while emphasizing service and quality. STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING: Our structural engineering project history includes design of office buildings, schools, mixed use buildings, pedestrian bridges, parking decks, and retrofit construction of historical and aged industrial buildings. These designs encompass multi-story steel frame structures, post-tensioned concrete, cast-in-place reinforced concrete, light framed wood and cold formed metal stud construction, and load bearing masonry, among others. CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING & CONSULTING: Our construction engineering and consulting services include providing design support for key specialty components of a typically broader project. These designs help ensure that a contractor successfully completes that component of the job in a safe and economical manner. Our construction engineering project history includes designing large diameter trenchless utility crossings, bridge work trestles and crane work platforms, scaffolding and reshoring, formwork and falsework, excavation support, and deep foundations, to name a few. GEOSTRUCTURAL CONSTRUCTION: Morrison Engineers Geostructural Construction Design Build Services include Earth Retention Systems, Deep Foundations, and Foundation Underpinning. Computerized Estimating Services (CES) is a Women-Owned firm established in 1988. We specialize in commercial construction cost estimating and scheduling services across the United States. We serve architects, owners, developers, and general contractors. At CES, our mission is to deliver every project with precision and provide our clients with peace of mind. We approach each endeavor with integrity and intention, always striving to “count the cost” to make each client's vision a reality — ensuring thoughtful planning, transparent communication which results in seamless execution of the project from start to finish. At the start of each project, CES collaborates closely with the client and design team to thoroughly evaluate the scope of work for each discipline. We engage with the design teams from the earliest stages of document development, during which we: - Evaluate unique project requirements, including utilities, grading, storm drainage, and traffic flow. - Identify existing above- and below-grade structures that may need to be removed. We conduct comprehensive research on relevant site conditions in collaboration with the design team, ensuring all factors are seamlessly integrated into the estimate. Our estimates adhere to the MasterFormat standard at every design phase, leveraging tools like BlueBeam, RSMeans, CAD, and MII to deliver: ✔ Clear summary sheets ✔ Detailed exclusions and clarifications ✔ Itemized general conditions ✔ Detailed comprehensive pricing breakdown - Collaboration Review: Draft estimates are shared via email for client review, and any agreed-upon revisions promptly incorporated into the final version. - Clear Communication: Scope-related questions are addressed directly with the client’s team, fostering transparency and accountability. - Market-Driven Pricing: Estimates reflect current local market conditions, with distinct escalation factors applied for projected start dates to midpoint of construction. - Transparent Contingencies: A clear design contingency is included and adjusted as the project evolves, with no hidden costs. - Change Tracking: Estimates beyond the Schematic Design Phase include a CSI 50-Division comparison column to clearly track changes from prior versions.

Steeler’s roots were formed in 1974 when company founder Matt Surowiecki Sr. started the business out of a single van and garage. A highly successful owner and salesman, he saw a niche in the construction industry that was just beginning to develop; cold-formed steel framing. An industry-leading company was built one steel stud at a time. Forty years later and Steeler, Inc. is the oldest consecutively operating steel stud manufacturer in the United States. Steeler is your one-stop shop for drywall construction supplies, offering not only a wide variety of innovative manufactured steel framing products, but most any drywall and distribution materials your project might require. Our mission is to provide high-quality drywall construction supplies to customers at a competitive price, while delivering top-notch service to help grow your business. Our timeless line of Steeler screws and fasteners revolutionized the steel framing industry, yet we continue to develop better ways to secure walls. We’ve tested our drywall screws against the competition on-the-job, and have found that they save installers time and contractors money. We are in the business of drywall construction supply, but we do business for our customers. We may be a bigger company, but our 12 branches give the personal attention of a small business. Your Steeler representative is here to serve you and your project even after supplies have been delivered. Steeler is seeing improvements every day. The construction industry has rebounded greatly from where it was just five years ago. Our goal is to maximize our reach within the construction supply industry while still providing personal support and service to each and every customer. We’re climbing the hill one stud at a time, just as our founder built this company over the past 40 years. Enough about us, we’re more interested in what you have to say.
