CAMBRIDGE HOUSING AUTHORITY PURCHASING DEPARTMENT   INVITATION TO BID Automatic Barrier Arm Gate Installation    The work includes installation of automatic barrier arm gates, integration with CHA's existing Avigilon access control system, pedestal-mounted access control devices, associated electrical and network infrastructure, trenching, signage, emergency access provisions, emergency vehicle preemption/siren detection, removal of existing cast iron gates, site restoration, and all related work necessary to provide a complete and fully operational system. The selected bidder shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permitting, coordination, commissioning, closeout documentation, and training necessary for a turnkey installation.  The work is estimated to cost between $25,000-$75,000. Bids are subject to M.G.L. Chapter 30, s. 39M and to the Davis Bacon Wage determination rates attached to the bid documents. The project will require 50% Payment Bond if the submitted proposal is over $25,000.   Bid forms and contract documents will be available at www.procore.com on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, after 10:00 AM (may be downloaded and viewed electronically). A site walkthrough will be conducted on Tuesday, August 11th, at 10:00 AM. Attendees shall meet at 107 Portland St, Cambridge MA, 02141. Bidders must attend the walkthrough to be eligible to submit a bid. Bidders shall attend the walkthrough to review field conditions, utility routing, equipment locations, constructability constraints, traffic flow, removal requirements, and access control integration considerations. Bids shall be based on verified field conditions.  Contractors must be in business for a minimum of five years in order to be eligible to bid on the project.  The work will be awarded to the eligible and responsible contractor who submits the lowest quote for the full statement of work. Each bidder shall base their bid on the timely progression and completion of the work within the time for completion of the work as stated in the specification. THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED BY THE AWARDING AUTHORITY.  Bids must be electronically submitted at  www.procore.com.  Additional instructions to complete the other bid forms are accessible on the Procore website and in the bid documents.
